Home learning for w/b 13th July 2020

Hello Year 3 and welcome to your final week of home learning!

I would like to thank the children first and foremost for working so incredibly hard during this lock down period. I am so proud of you all and have really loved receiving work, messages and photos from you on a weekly basis. I have missed you so much but I am looking forward to the short time we will get together in September and I can't wait to see you all again.

To the parents, thank you for your on going support and communication during this time. I'm sure the home learning has not always been a smooth run especially while working at the same time! Thank you for persevering and being so open to the changes we have had to put in place.

Later on today, Miss Rees (Y4) will be adding a letter to this page with an 'All about me' exercise for the children to complete for her. Please look out for this and send it back to her Y4 email once complete.

Finally, I want to wish you all a wonderful Summer. Take a break and enjoy some well-earned fun!

All the best

Miss Bick :)

Week beginning 1st June 2020

Welcome back Year 3! I hope you all had an enjoyable and relaxing half term whilst managing to take advantage of the glorious weather we have had.

As of this week, I shall be back in school teaching a group of Year 1 children who are part of the initial return to school phase. Therefore, our weekly uploads will change slightly. The tasks for the whole week will now be uploaded the Friday before so that you can be prepared for the week ahead. All task top sheets (the one that outlines each activity) will be on one link in order to try and minimise the amount of downloads needed. Please complete the English and Maths tasks in order as one task will often build upon the previous. For the other activities, you are welcome to complete them as you wish.

Thank you to all parents for your ongoing support with home learning and the frequent emails. I love hearing about what you have been up to and receiving images of the children having fun. I will still be responding to all emails, so please keep in touch using y3homelearning@blisworth.northants.sch.uk

 VE Day!

Friday 8th May, people all over the UK and in other countries of the world will turn their thoughts and attention to the 75th anniversary of VE Day. This very important historical day, back in 1945, marked the end of World War II in Europe. So my last upload for this week is a collection of activities for you to try. Have a look at the project planner to help you decide which ones you may wish to complete. Some require you to print, some do not. For example, there is a spitfire activity that contains three versions, the last version does not require any printing and the colouring that is included could be used as inspiration to create your own drawing.

I would love to see what you have been up to, so send me a message or a photo if you can!

I hope you and all your families have a wonderful weekend, I will upload again on Monday!
