The Blisworth School Curriculum
Starting in autumn 2019, Blisworth School initiated a review of its curriculum in order to ensure it fully meets the needs of our children.
We want every aspect of the school day, including learning time, play times, lunchtimes, assemblies, visits, visitors etc to contribute to supporting every child to be as successful as possible and fully prepared for the next stage in their life.
Over the next two years we will be making some adaptations so that the curriculum is:
- coherently planned and sequenced;
- designed so that it is: 'sticky', vocab rich and develops reading and writing;
- ambitious for all and everyone is enabled to move through the learning together;
- delivered in a way that encourages and fosters independence.
The curriculum maps show parents what is taught half term by half term.
