Be the Best You Can Be

Welcome to Blisworth Community Primary School

from Mrs Reed

School Ethos and Values

Welcome to Blisworth Community Primary School.  We are continuing to develop our website to give lots of information about our school and the community we serve. We hope to provide not just the dry facts and statistics, but to give a flavour of what it's like to be at Blisworth School. We have included links to a range of other excellent websites to provide learning activities for children and information for Parents and Carers. The school is a County Council school catering for children aged from 4+ to 11 years.

We strive to make school a place children want to come and where wonderful memories for the future are made. As part of this, we have a School Dog. Daisy is a small labradoodle who loves children. Her calmness and love of being in school is contagious and the children love to visit her in the offices for a cuddle and chat. As time goes on, she will become a reading dog.

We actively strive to instil in our children a sense of individual worth and respect for others and we value our strong links with the community. We have the support and good will of our parents and invite you to play an active role within the school community. By working together in positive partnership, we can secure the best education, moral, physical, social and spiritual environment for your child.

At Blisworth Community Primary School we aim for excellence in teaching and enjoyment in learning. Through a very broad and balanced curriculum we provide exciting and educational experiences for our children. We aim to lay solid foundations for secondary education and encourage and value our active partnership with parents, governors and the Local Authority. Additionally we benefit from the support of a dynamic 'Friends of Blisworth School' (FOBS).

Blisworth Community Primary School is committed to ensuring the welfare and safety of all children in school.  All Northamptonshire schools, including Blisworth Community Primary School, follow the Northamptonshire Local Safeguarding Children Board Inter-Agency Procedures. The school will, in most circumstances, endeavour to discuss all concerns with parents about their child/ren. However, there may be exceptional circumstances when the school will discuss concerns with Social Care and/or the Police without parental knowledge (in accordance with Child Protection procedures). The school will, of course, always aim to maintain a positive relationship with all parents. The school’s child protection policy is available on request.

We look forward to getting to know you and your child and hope that you will share with us in making your child's time at Blisworth Community Primary School both happy and successful.
